| The banding in this variety of sandstone is as close to the look of a reptilian skin as anything I have ever seen. The challenge in choosing to work in colored stones is to create a strong enough work of art that the form, the idea and the expression I am trying to convey reaches the viewer and stands as a testament to my abilities and ideals. The stones themselves provide a beauty that I wish to explore and share with the viewer. |
