Lament of Icarus |
| "Lament of Icarus" is a metaphor for how mankind reaches out in the process of trying to obtain peace throughout the ages. Many human beings have perished in the pursuit of peace and there-in lies the tragedy. Fortunately for mankind we continue to strive for peace. Italian Portoro marble from a compositional standpoint was the perfect material for use in presenting this sculpture. The gold matrix on black marble so beautifully gives the impression of melted wax across the surface. |
